Remote Coding Support: Americode provides offsite, in country, coding and auditing support. We are HIPAA compliant in our handling of electronic medical records, hybrid medical records, and paper records. We have the capability and know-how to tailor a program that fits your department’s coding needs. Our IT department and Business Development team will work closely to ensure our Quality and Efficiency exceeds your standards.

Contract Coding Support: Americode has professional and facility coders available to work on-site in all 50 states with clients who are addressing backlogs, vacation coverage, or a need for specialists. Coding Assignments can last anywhere from three months to two years. We have the ability to provide local and/or travel coding staff to support your department’s coding needs.

Clinical Documentation Improvement: Health Information Management is evolving at a rapid pace. Americode's CDI specialist focus on improving healthcare through accurate education, regulatory compliance, and practical applications. Americode's goal is to provide accurate and need-to-know information at every level of the hospital: accreditation, nursing, medical staff credentialing, long term care, medical coding and billing, revenue cycle management and more.

Interim Management: Americode is capable of performing Health Information Management support to hospitals and physician groups on an on-going or interim basis. We have a working database of professionals and can provide our clients with an HIM Director, Coding Managers, HIMS Managers and Supervisors. In addition, we can provide Project Managers, and Interim Supervisors to support niche projects in any division of your Health Information Department.

Auditing: Americode provides Quality Assurance audits, External review audits, and Specialty audits to ensure correct coding is being performed. We provide random sample audits as well as focused audits, which can also be tied to our training and education seminars to correct any coding deficiencies. We perform audits of the coding of diagnoses and procedures utilizing ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS classification systems for compliance purposes as well as billing.

Coding Mentorship and Training: Americode provides onsite training and mentorship of new coders while performing 100% review audits, followed by classroom education. Additionally, Americode helps to prepare coders to sit for their certification exams. Our Consultants provide education and training for physicians and other medical professionals in correct coding and documentation practices.
